A new year, a new limit
January 6th, 2006
Credit limit went up another grand, sweetness! However, I am going to cut back on my spending, perhaps stick within my set budget. Bills were bad enough, but now the onset of full house bills.
It’s hitting me randomly since new years that I’m gonna be twenty this year, granted it’s months and months away, but I’ll no longer be that teen. My accomplishments will just meld into nothing special, I’ll just be another mediocre twenty something kid. I don’t know what will set me apart from the rest of that pack now, I guess I better come up with something in the next few months. Although my drive and ambition to do so is extremely low. I used to care, used to give a shit, and now I hardly could give a crap more or less about it all. It’s still this very scary feeling of being “old”, I know twenty isn’t old, but it’s getting there.
That’s my inquisitive entry for the month….
Anyhow, I paid my UD bill today after waiting in the long long line. I was going to bike to campus, but I stopped halfway, went home, and drove. I feel very out of shape, but in my own defense it was more of the OJ that was bothering my stomach. Then I had to pay for my ski trip tickets, where they only took cash or flex. I didn’t have either! Just a debit card, some credit cards, and an empty flex card. Grr! I refuse to use an ATM and pay their ATM fees, so I ended up going to the post office to buy stamps which I needed and asked for cash back. Hehe, 2 birds, one stone… I thought I was good to go once I got the cash, but turns out the lady that books the trips was on a lunch break, a long long lunch break. However, when she came back, she was really nice and I was on my way. Glad I didn’t get a ticket while running these errands on campus, I would have been furious….
I went to BestBuy because there was suppose to be Xbox 360s in stock, stupid online inventory thingy was wrong! There were none :(, I kinda figured that though. I saw quite a few TVs that were better than mine and cheaper too! I feel ripped off! Anyhow, I’m not going to buy anymore TVs unless it’s a 30”+ widescreen HDTV under $400. That is the set limit that I must stick to. No more crts, no more flat screens, no more tiny tvs, the TV must meet or exceed my requirements and can not be a penny over $400. Just because my credit card lets me buy some 56” DLP HDTV thingy does not mean I should buy it. Not even if my debit card lets me buy such a TV, I’m sticking to my guns on this one. We’ll see how successful I am on it…
I wasted a bunch of other time and money elsewhere. Now, I’m bored and in Wilmington : /.
