So I wanted to make 2 sandwiches, one to eat and one to take to work for lunch.

However, I somehow made 3 sandwiches and had an extra slice of bread when I was putting them into the sandwich bags…

Just 2 more weeks left of this summer session, then right immediately after is the 2^nd summer session for another 5 weeks of class. Then finally a week off, sort of, I’m going to be getting my wisdom teeth out. Then a week of work, but no school. Then the fall semester kicks off with a ton of BUAD classes.

I’ve been looking for roommates. The first guy that came was a 39 year old black man! I was kinda freaked, but he seemed ok though. In his defensive, he didn’t look 39 and was just a grad student that probably got a late start due to military stuff. The next visitor was another grad student, I think he is Korean. Indifferent towards him I guess. The last one was a female grad student, I kinda hope she does take the place, but her lease isn’t up until August and she is still looking. She is grad student and actively was like non-smoking and non-drinking which I would actually prefer even though I’ll have a drink from time to time when I’m out. I’ve gotten spoiled and I only really want to get one roommate so we don’t have to share bathrooms. Realistically I need two roommates : /. It wasn’t that long ago that I was sharing a single bathroom with my entire family (not at the same time sickos :p), but that bathroom was like double the size of either bathroom in my house. Then again at some point, I was sharing a similar sized bathroom to the ones in my house with like 7 people. How that ever worked, I’ll never know.

So a new flood of noobs at work, feel bad because I don’t know their names and it’s always like that guy.� Reminds me of the complaint our CEO forwarded out today, the customer actually took the time to write out a letter to mail to our CEO.� Of course by some law that, that means like a hundred others are just as pissed, but didn’t do anything about it.� Well the letter says the women he talked to, tried to make him feel like an idiot.� I was uh oh….� Luckily I had no recollection of the domain in question, but when they say women it narrows it down to a total of 3 possible culprits!� Anyhow, feel like I suck at my job lately, I haven’t had the chance to pick up new skills to apply because school takes up the time I’m not at work.

Next week I’m going to try and make our VPS training thing, which basically means I have to leave right after class to get to work on time for training.� Then on Tuesday and Thursday I have to leave immediately after training so that I can get to my COMM class.� I don’t know well that’s going to work, might literally drop dead of exhaustion.

I finally got my new digital camera, a SD550, though now I’m jealous I didn’t get a SD630 that looks kinda better and has a .5 bigger LCD.� Oh well, I’ve been eyeing the SD550 for a while.� It’s really small, a lot less bulky than the A300 I had.� The A series seems to be bigger, I think I could have gotten a comparable spec A series camera for half the price I paid for the SD550.� So effectively I’ve paid double to get a camera that is half as big….� Then there are all the accessories I need, like an extra battery because it uses its own rechargeable battery that takes 95 minutes to charge fully, probably another SD card that is 1 GB+ because the 512 MB card will only hold about 150 pictures, and a camera bag to keep it from getting dinged to badly.� My A300 is in such horrible shape that I don’t think I could even eBay it, gave it to the family…� And I’m retarded, I bought the new camera so I could do macro shots because I thought my A300 didn’t have that feature.� Well, turns it did, that’s what the flower icon was for the entire time!� I seriously thought it was like for outdoor pictures, but then of course I had no idea what the mountain was for except for taking pictures from high places which of course I realize makes no sense.� Guess I should of read that manual when I first got the camera…

My Amex has been declined twice in the past two days!� Freaking citi keeps blocking my transactions so I couldn’t even order an item during the Amex Wishlist promotion.� Seriously I got decline one day and I figured I did something like transpose a digit, well at some point I log to view my statement it say my account was under review for high risk blah blah and to call them. So I call them and get the block lifted, told I’m all good now.� Well I order something like less than 2 hours after this call and it’s declined again!� WTF….� I call up a bit angry this time and “Mary” says it’s been unblocked and I should be able to use my card.� Yea right… I am using 99% of my credit line at the moment which I could understandably believe they would block further transaction because I’m so close to the limit, but I haven’t hit it yet an neither rep said anything about my limit.� Just merely it was suspicious because it was from a “mortgage company”, furthermore they couldn’t tell who it was!� MBNA lets me view the exact name of the merchant that has pending charges, so I’m not sure why Citi doesn’t.� They are lucky I got my first cards with them and want to build my history or else I’d close my accounts with them.

Stupid people really get me, I took my brother to the mall yesterday so he could look for a job.� Took him to McDonalds because I worked there before and all that.� Well my brother is stupid and didn’t know how to fill out the application and did it in such a way that was horrible.� Ultimately I’m just picky….� The application asked for do you have transportation and my brother put “bus”, it’s a yes/no question….� Anyhow, go to turn the application to one of the employees, try to make some conversation.� Specially I asked them if the Dukarts still owned the store (the Dukarts are some rather wealthy people and own the McDonalds that I was at as well as several surrounding McDonalds), the girl was like Dukarts?� I mean I know you don’t exactly need all that many skills to work at McDonalds, but you should fucking the owners of the company.� It was pretty flipping obvious as there were various plaques that said Dukart Management on the walls (which I spotted after I asked my question).� Ugh… I almost feel bad for sending my brother to get a job there, his IQ may drop just being in the presence of such morons.� None of the managers that I worked for are at the store anymore, otherwise I’m sure I could get the bro hired on the spot.� The managers now, have all sorts of foreign sounding names.� The general manager is like Jaffererisera and it’s just one name like that.� Fast forward to today/Friday, my bro goes in for his interview.� I don’t have the entire story, but apparently they told him he needed working papers before they could do anything.� WTF?� C’mon McDonald peon, what the fucking good are working papers if you aren’t even offering the kid a job?� The peon didn’t even interview him!� Makes my head hurt, getting working papers isn’t like anything special, he goes to school and gets them!� If you want to hire him then he can get them!� Seriously, it’s not like getting a passport that would take 8-10 weeks by mail.� It’s simple as going to his school and asking his like guidance counselor to fill out this little half size form!� Though I gain some pleasure in knowing I make more than the managers there, well the assistant managers, or well I better be…

Anyhow, Bernanke and his whole inflation deal has gotten my portfolio in the red.� I suppose I should of quit while I was ahead, but I got greedy :(.� AMD had made most of my profits before, but now it’s the biggest loser in my portfolio and with no dividends to soften the blow!

I leave this alone for a little while and there are just masses of spam comments, some even got thru the filter, so delete delete delete!!!

I finally installed my 10k RPM Raptor, so many months after buying it! There doesn’t seem to be much of a difference honestly, there is some speed increase but I think it’s more likely due to the fact I haven’t reloaded all the software I use on here. I’ve still got an x800 I’ve yet to put to use because my board lacks a PCI-e slot. I’m thinking if I buy a new mobo, I’ll need a new chip. I already have a 3400+, seems like any chip that is significantly better than this one is going to cost major dough. It seems not worthwhile to pay a hundred or two for a chip that is only marginally better though. Plus I’ll need more RAM, something like 2 GB. Starts adding up to ridiculous amounts of money when this box actually works fine. It’s got at least a year left of a good life in it. So that leaves me the choice of selling all the computer parts I’ve accumulated for this project…..

Anyhow, enough geek speak. Work is bland, feel highly unproductive and my numbers seem to reflect that. I almost feel like a demotion is in order. Though I’m constantly frustrated by the things that arrive in by the customer. Sometimes it’s things that are so ridiculous simple while others are complicated beyond our means, something that they should be paying their developer to handle, not the web host they pay maybe $20 a month for. Which reminds me, we’ve for some unknown reason to me, started offering plans for $3/month! Yes, $3 a month! Not only are they $3/mon, but there is allowance of 15 GB of disk space! The best part is if you are a reseller client, you get an additional 30% off, so it’s $2.10 a month! Seriously, feel like I’m going to be canned soon so that we can outsource to India to support these insanely low prices. If the customer uses just one hour of support time through out the entire year, we must already be in the hole. Not just support we need to offer, but there is the billing aspect of the account. I think no matter the cost of the plan, it takes the same amount of time to bill, so between using people hours to bill them and support them, I just don’t see how it’s possible to even break even on these. I suppose if there are large volumes of these customers whom never contact us and use the automated processed, it might work. However, these are people we are talking about! Their internet might be out and they’ll call us first because they can’t get their site to come out and it’s somehow our fault instead of their ISP…. I guess that was sorta of more geek speak, but I had to get that out. In the end I’m not in charge of that, I’m not in charge of anything

So I started summer session at UD, a freaking 8 AM class every single day! First week has been bearable, though I’m tired all the time because I can’t seem to sleep early enough ever. There is already a test tomorrow in my finance class. Then for my communications class I’ve to do a speech on Tuesday, yet I don’t know what the hell they want. Seriously, I’m suppose to introduce this other kid in my class, and I’m not suppose to say I’m here to introduce blah blah, I’ve got to make it interesting. Well, I can’t even do that for myself and they expect me to do it for another person. So far the class has been less communications and more just common sense. I can’t believe we have a test on that class in Thursday, felt like I’ve learned nothing at all. Though I haven’t done all the assigned readings and watched the lame videos online. I feel somewhat tricked, there is so much additional work than the 2 classes a week! Second summer session I’ve got to take Accounting I, again (well they refused to transfer my Del Tech credit for it) and some English class. The account is such BS, because I’ve already taken much more advance accounting classes including Accounting II and International Accounting. It’s just great, my finance class uses a lot of the ratios from 207 and the professor is always like everyone has taken 207 right? I’m to afraid to admit I technically haven’t. taken it.

Well off to study….or play games….
