Some how I completely overslept for work this week, so I got written up.? I deserved it though, I’m almost always late because I can never seem to leave my house on time OR if I do leave on time or earlier, something happens and I end up there at work late anyhow.
My advisor also emailed me a very stern message telling me to go see her, I’m almost certain it’s about my grades, a D and a F in the same semester just doesn’t bode well.
I also got digital cable and HBO because of some promo deal where it’s only $10/month for both!? Actually at first, I got digital cable and standard channels, but no HBO.? So I called, now I get digital cable with HBO, but no standard channels.? I kinda preferred having standard channels in place of HBO.? I mean yesterday, they were playing Mr & Mrs Smith on 3 different channels of the HBO network and at same time!? Oh, and HBO also has really soft core porn late at night.? Yea, definitely preferred my standard channels….
Since my roommate is still here and I already bought a TV stand, I decided to set it up in my room, it actually fits nicely except my room is a bit of mess and I have coax cable running through the middle of it because I don’t know how to run it through the ceiling and setup a wall outlet for it.? Maybe my dad will help me the next time he comes over : /.
My brother somehow let an army recruiter take him to Fort Dix for 2 days and signed up for the reserves!? I told him no less than 10 times to NOT sign anything! He only gets a $100 kicker for getting a score of 86 on the ASVAB, which was the highest out of his group.? That’s kinda sad, I got a 90 on my ASVAB in the 11th grade (my bro is in 12th now), my weak area was auto/shop stuff, but that’s what he should be good at as that’s what he’s been doing in high school.? More sadly and more alarming is that most of scores were just in the 40s and 50s!? Though not surprising, because when I was at Howard, we had kids that scored so low (under 30 something) that they couldn’t even enlist if they wanted to.? It kinda does worry me that these people will be “defending” our country.? Well, anyhow my brother will be going to basic this summer.
That being said, he has better plans than I do.? I’m not even sure if I want to go back to school in the spring.? This bad semester has made me realize that I don’t classes because I actually want to, but to fill up time.? I mean there are some classes I rather never take at all, but when you combine that element with a terrible professor, I get nothing out of the whole thing.? A good professor can make all the difference.? Like my accounting professor, not exactly the most interesting thing in world and quite honestly makes me a little sick when I think about doing it for a living, but I was able to learn the stuff with minimal effort.? Management Organizational Behavior on the other hand is probably the most ridiculous bullshit of a class ever, it’s really simple when it comes down to it, but I had such a horrific professor that I couldn’t even absorb any of the bullshit.
Now speaking of bullshit, my roommate smells! I’m going to have to start wearing a gas mask or something because of it, ewwwwww.? Plus the little whiner doesn’t like to put on damn clothes, but then says it’s cold.? I guess I came home unexpectedly today, and I could totally see him without a shirt on in the kitchen!? He sees me so he goes and puts on a little girls’ silk robe!? (and yes it’s a girl’s, he admitted taking it from his LITTLE sister)? I don’t even know why he walks around with no shirt on his little scrawny body wouldn’t be anything I would want to look at.
